18/07/2009 In Concert With Choir Remix - Electric Theatre, Guildford, Surrey
An invitation as guests on a show staged by another choir. We performed a short 20 minute
set to a packed auditorium and also featured in the show's Glen Miller Finale, singing music
that we had learned at short notice especially for the evening.
25/04/2009 Charity Ball - Barnet Hill Conference Centre, Surrey
At this black tie dinner & dance we provided occasional cabaret-style entertainment throughout
the evening, moving from room to room and adding to the overall sophisticated ambience
of the event.
22/12/2007 Carol Concert With The Epworth Choir - Guildford Cathedral, Surrey
"Follow that..." said the Musical Director of the Epworth Choir on
returning to the podium after our, hopefully inspirational, rendition of "It Is
Well With My Soul". We also sang a variety of other Christmas music in our own
8-part a cappella style including Gabriel's Message, Silent Night, Jingle Bells,
a setting of Betjeman's poem "Christmas" and even that all-too-famous Xmas
standard by Slade!
25-26/11/2006 In Concert With Erste Kölner Chor - Hochschule für Musik, Cologne, Germany
Another concert as guests of a barbershop chorus, but for this one we
travelled to Germany and performed to packed and highly enthusiastic
audiences on two consecutive nights. The warmth of the welcome we received on stage
was definitely a highlight in the story of Vox!
05/11/2005 In Concert With Four Voices - Palace Theatre, Newark, Notts.
Another guest spot with a barbershop chorus, this time the Grand Central Chorus.
We were lucky enough to close the show with a 12-voice rendition of All Rise
(you can hear our studio recording of this on Radio Vox) along with the, then,
World Champion Barbershop Quartet "Four Voices". The 5-minute standing ovation
that followed was probably meant for them...but it was still a great feeling...
03/10/2005 Live on ITV1's "This Morning" With Lorraine Kelly
Following our appearances on The X-Factor during the previous weeks we were asked to sing on This Morning.
What they had neglected to mention was that they wanted us to close the show
singing their own theme tune; a strange omission from our repertoire!? We had
twenty minutes in which to arrange, learn and rehearse the number before going
live on air in front of 3 million viewers. Sadly, copyright issues mean we can't
show you the result, but we think we got away with it!
29/05/2004 Guest Performance At BABS Annual Convention - Harrogate
International Centre, North Yorkshire
BABS (The British Association of Barbershop Singers) asked us to do a
guest spot on their convention show in front of 2000 people. Probably our
biggest audience to date (excluding TV!) If you want to see how we got on,
visit our Videos page.
